The cornerstone of any successful wildlife management program is the control and harvest of the female, or antlerless population.  WMA is firmly committed to this goal, and these harvest rates further illustrates our commitment to solid, proven wildlife management practices. As previously stated, all hunting is done with archery equipment only, and occurs only during regularly scheduled hunting seasons.  WMA receives no special considerations from the Pennsylvania Game Commission in relation to seasons or limits.

Since WMA was formed in 1996, we've harvested  nearly 4,000 doe and only 198 antlered bucks in Allegheny County. That equates to 20 doe to every 1 buck harvested. Not exactly a "big buck" club is it?
